Located in northern Colorado--only 60 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park--and 40 miles north of Denver. Loveland offers the atmosphere of a small town and the amenities of a larger city, including a well-regarded art community. The Thompson Valley and Poudre Valley School Districts are nationally recognized. Fairchild's site is also located near several highly ranked universities, including Colorado State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Fort Collins and Loveland are also home to many community colleges, and nearby Greely is home to the University of Northern Colorado.

With 58 peaks over 14,000 feet in elevation, Colorado offers an abundance of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, alpine and cross-country skiing, camping, fishing and backpacking.
