Community Relations & Philanthropy

Part of our commitment to corporate responsibility is our belief in supporting non-profit community organizations and programs with financial and in-kind support.

Fairchild Turkey Trot

Our focused corporate giving program ties our philanthropy to our businesses and our people and helps make our communities, our employees and our company more successful. We also support needs-based and other vital programs that make the communities where we live and work stronger. And we support employee participation as board members, leaders and volunteers in many non-profit organizations.

Our four corporate giving themes are aligned with our businesses, and guide our activities in public policy advocacy and in other respects.

Energy Efficiency

We design and manufacture a wide range of semiconductor products that save energy by making energy consuming appliances more efficient. We also believe in supporting organizations and initiatives that promote energy efficiency and energy saving as important social goals. Examples include: programs that encourage environmental education emphasizing energy savings; organizations that promote alternative fuels or "green energy" generation; community education programs that promote saving energy.

Health & Wellness

Encouraging and promoting general health and wellness is important to maintaining strong communities. We contribute to programs that are dedicated to physical fitness, eliminating diseases and enhancing overall wellness. Illustrative examples: community fitness activities; races and walks; health awareness efforts.

Community Engagement

As a vital and grounded member of the communities where we live and work, we know that the needs of every community differ and change over time. We are committed to supporting needs-based programs that make our communities stronger. We also support employee participation on non-profit boards and in other forms of community leadership. Illustrative examples: needs-based camps, programs for underprivileged youth, substance-abuse prevention programs.

Primary & Secondary Education in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM)

As a technology company, we know the importance of technological literacy. We support programs and organizations that enhance and expand STEM education at the primary and secondary levels. Illustrative examples: high-school robotics competitions, STEM-based education initiatives; and children's museum STEM programs.
