300 Series ECL, the easiest to use ECL logic family available, is launched. The fast gate speeds, full voltage and temperature compensation, and the ability to drive low impedance transmission lines make 300 series the logic of choice for ECL-based systems, as well as those that mix ECL with TTL and/or CMOS. It is one of the first families to incorporate temperature and voltage compensation in temperature/voltage ECL circuits.
