Fairchild introduces the µSerDes^TM Low Power 24-bit bi-directional serializer/deserializer, which was the smallest, lowest power, lowest EMI SerDes device ever. It enabled rapid adoption in the emerging handset market for signal line reduction. The flexible architecture allowed use across a wide platform of complexity without software changes. Also, Dr. Mark Thompson is named as President and CEO.
