Jose, California – February 15, 2008 – Fairchild
Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), a leading global supplier
of high performance products that drive energy-efficiency,
has selected Adrian Chu to lead its Standard Products
Group (SPG), effective today.
Prior to joining Fairchild, Mr. Chu held various positions
of responsibility at NXP, formerly Philips. These included
Vice President with responsibility for regional marketing,
key accounts and sales for Greater China. Mr. Chu also
managed regional marketing and sales in Asia, for the
mobile cellular, cordless and personal entertainment
business, and was responsible for the discrete semiconductors
business including the distribution channels in Asia.
Mr. Chu has a degree in Electronics and Communications
from Singapore Polytechnic University, a diploma in Management
Studies from Singapore Institute of Management and a
Bachelor of Business in Business Administration degree
from the Royal Melbourne University in Australia. He
is fluent in several languages including English, Cantonese
and Mandarin.
