Fairchild Semiconductor Receives "S-Partner Certificate" from Samsung SDI

SAN JOSE, Calif. – January 3, 2011 –Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), a leading global supplier of high performance power and mobile products, recently received the "S-Partner Certificate" from Samsung SDI, a leader in the development of new energy and display business. This certificate recognizes companies that meet SAMSUNG SDI standards for corporate social responsibility through a well established environment quality control system.

The S-Partner accreditation system evaluates the suppliers’ social and environmental standards when selecting suppliers for long-term sustainable partners. The program monitors corporate social responsibility activities by conducting focused assessment in the areas of labor, ethics and health and safety.

Fairchild became a member of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Leaders Partners in May of 2006. Companies that are members of the Climate Leaders establish and track Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories and set goals to reduce their emissions.
