Voted a Leading Product by EDN China
SAN JOSE, Calif. – December 14, 2011 – The FAN302HL PWM controller, from Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), a leading global supplier of high performance power and mobile products, has been voted a Leading Product in the Power Devices and Modules category in EDN China's Innovation Awards 2011. This is the seventh consecutive year that Fairchild has received an EDN China Innovation Award.
The EDN China Innovation Awards occur annually and are based on the votes of more than 400,000 registered online users of the publication. These registered users comprise a large body of engineers and design specialists within the industry in Greater China. Award winners can be confident that the selection of their products is based on independent, professional opinion well qualified to recognize and reward true innovation.

Incorporating Fairchild's mWSaver™ technology, the FAN302HL features proprietary technologies that minimize standby power consumption to <10mW@230VAC, exceeding ENERGY STAR® Version 5.0 efficiency standards. FAN302HL also enhances the performance of general flyback converters. Integrating a 500V JFET, FAN302HL allows the device to cut off the current path after the device is turned on, reducing start-up losses. The proprietary constant current control topology enables simplified circuit design without secondary constant current feedback circuitry, especially important in battery charger applications.
In addition to cell phone chargers, the FAN302HL is ideal for applications such as smartphones, cordless phones, DVD/Set-Top Boxes, Power-Over-Ethernet and small appliances.
