QVE00039

The QVE00039 is a slotted optical switch designed for high resolution non-contact sensing. It consists of a GaAs LED and a silicon phototransistor, packaged into an injection molded housing and facing each other across a .095" (2.4 mm) gap. The slot is parallel to the mounting surface and the contacts are made through a 4-wire, 10-inch harness for remote connection.
