Fairchild's new interactive PFC design tools help designers select power and control components needed to successfully design PFC circuits. Designed as Excel spreadsheets, these design tools calculate all major segments involved in PFC design: value of power inductor, output filter capacitor, feed-forward and output divider, voltage and current loop compensation circuits. The spreadsheets also contain recommendations for selecting MOSFETs, IGBTs and diodes.
