About Die & Wafer Process

In addition to its broad portfolio of packaged semiconductors, Fairchild offers its customers the flexibility of using bare die to improve their designs.  The use of die provides the following benefits to design engineers:

Smaller size - Using bare die can allow for reduced board space.
Operating Temperature - Package thermal characteristics no longer inhibit the performance of the die or the environments where they can operate.
Ruggedness - Direct die attach and wirebond provides your design with additional protections against high levels of shock and vibration.
Lighter weight - Smaller designs and higher power densities reduce weight and size of your application.
More efficient performance - Removing extra package interconnect can reduce capacitance and lower inductance.

Fairchild provides a wide range of products for sale in wafer form. We partner with world class die houses who specialize in value added processes including sawing, visual inspection to Mil standard, upqualification of die to Military, Space or Medical standards, as well as packing the die in a carrier that suits your needs.

Our current catalog of die products includes a broad array of products from our High and Low Voltage Mosfets families to our Small Signal Diodes and Transistors.  Please use the taxonomy below to begin your selection process.
