Fairchild Semiconductor Receives EDAW's 2006 Best Product Award in the Power Device Category

PFC-SPM is PFC(Power Factor Correction) circuit integrated module which is specially designed to meet the harmonic current regulation such as IEC61000-3-2. Fairchild's PFC SPM® series, which integrates rectifier diodes / fast and soft recovery diodes, IGBTs, one gate driving IC and thermistor, has two kinds of topology lineup, one is Bridgeless PFC(front-end rectifier circuit), and the other one is Boost PFC(conventional boost circuit).  By using new DBC-plated package which has same mechanical dimension with Motion-SPM™ in Mini-DIP, the PFC SPM® can be installed on the same heatsink with Motion-SPM™, therefore enables easy assembly and increased productivity.
