Fairchild ECL
High speed, excellent noise suppression, high Vout peak-to-peak and low signal jitter make ECL the best differential logic solution for many backplane applications for servers, memory storage, and data transmission systems. Today, Fairchild offers ECL logic in 2 families:

  • F100K 300 Series ECL is a family of 41 functions that continues to support typically long lived data and telecom systems.
  • New 100 EL and 100 LVEL Series of advanced high speed ECL.

Fairchild's 100 EL and 100 LVEL Series Advanced ECL
The 100 EL and 100 LVEL are new 5 Volt and 3.3 Volt high speed advanced ECL families with toggle frequencies in excess of 1 Ghz, and propagation delays of typically 350 ps. Performance is specified, to replace ECLinPS Lite™* functions.

    100 EL and 100 LVEL Series Feature:
  • Specify same AC/DC performance as ECLinPS Lite™*
  • Packaged to replace ECLinPS Lite™*
    • SOIC-8
  • Have Superior noise immunity
  • Specified for low skew
  • Actual ESD measurements demonstrate protection at 3.5KV -5KV, Superior to competing ECL product families.
