Color
| The group takes color options available from the technology,
and matches these to each individual customer application. In addition
to this, bi-colored and tri-colored options can be accommodated, together
with full visible spectrum options using blue, green and red LEDs.
The visible impact is further enhanced by giving form and texture
to the visible light. |

Packaging
 Fairchild
Opto offers a complete design and manufacturing service, starting
with the design of the substrate onto which the LED chips in various
colors will be attached and wire bonded; the design of the reflector/lens
cap giving form to the light emissions; the assembly of the components
together, and filling, where appropriate, the segment areas with
epoxy. This results in a very robust construction, which offers
twice the light output of equivalent air-gap displays.
This modular construction eliminates light output matching required
when using individual discrete components. A 100% functional testing
of the assemblies before shipment reduces display board yield losses
to a minimum.
Modules can include all the components needed to offer the minimum
connection modular solution; such as resistors, capacitors, transistors
ICs, and pins/connectors/wires.

Form
| By adding shape to the visible light, some synergy
of understanding of the information can be achieved. |

Texture
The light output can be spread evenly over a specified area, or
designed to be perceived as coming from a point source. Additional
application specific requirements, such as the customer's required
angle of view, can be accommodated within any design.
Further enhancements will be accommodated within the design to
maximize the contrast ratios while minimizing material costs and
reducing power consumption.
