FAN5606
Serial LED Driver with Current Regulated DC/DC Step-up Converter

FAN5606

The FAN5606 constant current serial LED driver gives designers the flexibility of LED brightness control. The FAN5606 drives up to six LEDs connected in a series and provides up to 20mA constant current. The driver also features digital, analog, and PWM controls for maximum flexibility. In PWM mode, the LED current is proportional to the pulse width of the PWM control signal applied to the DAC input.

The adaptive nature of the built-in DC/DC boost ensures operation at high efficiency, reaching over 85%. To minimize external part count, the FAN5606 has a built-in Schottky diode and requires no external ballast resistor. In shutdown mode, the FAN5606 uses less than 1µA ground current to extend battery life. The FAN5606 is available in a space saving 8-Lead 3x3 MLP package.
