QVE00033 The overall size of the device makes it one of the most compact switches available on the market for this gap size. This feature is a plus for applications with limited available space. The QVE00033 is a miniature infrared transmissive switch designed for no contact switching in surface-mount applications. It consists of a GaAs LED and a silicon phototransistor facing each other across a 2mm gap with a 0.4mm aperture, and is packaged in a temperature resistant black plastic housing. The QVE00033 interrupter switch's small size, surface mount package, and performance make it ideal for non-contact switching applications in disk drives, card detectors, mouse and trackballs, and motor and motion control. The overall size of the device (7.5mm x 4.05mm footprint; 5.4mm height) makes it one of the most compact switches available on the market for this gap size. This feature is a plus for applications with limited available space. Other features include a daylight filter on the phototransistor, which improves immunity to ambient light. Collector current (IC ON) is 100µA min and 600µA max; collector-to-emitter saturation voltage (VCE SAT) is 0.4V max; operating temperature (TOPR) is -55° to +100°C; and reflow soldering temperature is 240°C peak. Features - Compact package (2mm wide slot) Benefits - Very small slotted switch saves space - Disk drives
